We sat down with our Fortinet Reps and wanting to diversify our offerings to customers the discussion of VoIP came up. Having implemented Asterisk systems for our and other uses was our staple. Problem is; I’m the only one who knows Asterisk in our organization. Fast forward a few months into 2014, I decided to buy a Fortivoice 70 which is a nice but limited unit. Comes with the following:
- 4 pots or FXO ports
- 8 analog or FXS ports
- 1 WAN port
- 1 LAN port
The software is pretty basic (Windows based) but confusing as you need to know TELEPHONY speak. After a few months of use, I’d still go back to my ASTERISK box if I could find a unit with as small of a footprint as the FortiVoice.
